BHT-Free Polythene Film – 63 microns thick, 400×200 mm

$49.00

Our predictive phenolic yellowing test kit is designed to assess the potential for either white or pastel-coloured yarns, fabrics or garments to suffer from ‘yellowing.’ This is often a common occurrence amongst light coloured fabrics which can be caused due to both chemical and environmental factors, and fabric ageing.

The James Heal test kit is the original, developed by Courtaulds research. Designed in order to investigate complaints that particularly arise during either transit or storage.

Please beware of copies and counterfeit products in the marketplace. These can, not only diminish the accuracy or consistent of results but may also cause health and safety issues.

  • Perspirometer

The Perspirometer is used to determine colour fastness to perspiration, cold water and sea water. The same instrument is employed to predict the potential of white or pastelcoloured textiles to yellow in transit or storage. After insertion of the specimens, the Perspirometer is transferred to an Incubator for a pre-determined period. Following incubation, the Perspirometer is removed and specimens are graded using grey scales.
